Get Medieval in Atlanta

Spring into Fun with Busch Gardens Williamsburg

There’s no better way to kick off spring and celebrate being a kid than to visit Busch Gardens in Williamsburg! The season just began, and they are gearing up for the rest of the season with lots of fun activities and events:

Land of the Dragons 20th Anniversary: Busch Gardens is throwing a party to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Land of the Dragons, so everyone come out on Saturday, April 26 to commemorate the event with games, face-painting, and appearances by some modern-day “dragons.” Busch Gardens is updating the area with fresh paint, new colors, and the addition of a new animal show.

Sesame Street Forest of Fun‘s 5th Birthday Weekend: The Sesame Street Forest of Fun is turning five this April, so join Elmo and his friends this April 4, 5, and 6 for a special birthday celebration! At the Teatro Di San Marco Theatre, you can join the Sesame Street group for a special show, Elmo Rocks, which will perform at the theater daily for the weekend.

Animal Expert Jack Hanna‘s Menagerie: Visiting on April 12 and 13, Into the Wild host and Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium Jack Hanna is bringing his animal menagerie to Busch Gardens. You can see Jungle Jack and his animal ambassadors at Treato Di San Marco Theatre as they examine the importance of wildlife conservation.

A Schlitterbahn Spring Break in Texas

When you travel to Texas, make sure to head to one of the awesome Schlitterbahn Waterparks! With three awesome locations in New Braunfels, Galveston Island, and South Padre Island, Schlitterbahn offers guests to sunny Texas the opportunity to truly enjoy the fantastic weather and sunshine.

Or you can soak up the sun on Blastenhoff beach while the family explores Hans Hideout. Whatever you decide to do, it’s the hottest coolest time at Schlitterbahn!

During your stay in Texas, you can visit any of these three waterparks from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for more than a dozen heated, climate-controlled attractions!

Celebrate Spring Break in San Antonio, Texas!

Spring Break is almost here, and San Antonio is the perfect place to gear up for the new season! In the Texas heat, you can celebrate Spring Break earlier than most places in the U.S., so head on down for a warm and wild celebration of spring!

Six Flags Fiesta Texas: March 8-16

Six Flags Fiesta Texas kicks off Spring Break 2014, the Ultimate Party, as the weather starts to heat up. This annual celebration is the one week of the semester when students from all over the world get together to kick back and relax. At Six Flags, you can enjoy the most heart-racing, thrill-inducing speed coasters in the world for an amazing spring vacation during some fabulous Texas sunny weather! Along with this fantastic Spring Break comes extended hours at the park – every day during this week, the park is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (instead of their usual 7 p.m. during this season).

Schlitterbahn Waterpark: March 8-16

Not only is this time Spring Break, but you can also celebrate Blast & Save Days here at Schlitterbahn, where only the Blastenhoff section of the park is open with limited hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is the beginning of the new season at Schlitterbahn, so come enjoy the best waterpark in Texas!

SeaWorld San Antonio: March 8-23

Although SeaWorld San Antonio is currently open only for weekends, during Spring Break, it is open daily from March 8 to 23. During part of that time from March 8 to 15, you can enjoy their Spring into Night event, during which you can enjoy the park at night with extended hours and get a sneak peak at Summer 2014’s shows:

  • Sea Lions Tonite! – showcasing pinniped-pranksters Clyde and Seamore as they spoof the park’s daytime shows.
  • Sesame Street Bay of Play Block Party – guests can dance and sing along with all their favorite Sesame Street friends.

During your stay, make sure to check out some of the fabulous hotels in the area.
