The Grand Ole Opry works hard to bring the best and most popular performers to its stage, and this week is no different! Join the stage at the Ryman Auditorium this week for an awesome performance with artists like Diamond Rio, which has kept the same six members since its formation in 1984, or Larry Gatlin, who formed the Gatlin Brothers with his two brothers and now performs somewhat regularly in Branson, Missouri. Also enjoy artists like Charles Esten, who under the name Chip Esten was a recurring guest on the British and American version of Whose Line Is It Anyway? but is now known for his leading role as Deacon Claybourne on ABC’s Nashville.

The Full San Antonio Experience

If you’re looking for the full San Antonio experience during your stay in this magnificent Texan city, here is a list of the places that you absolutely must see during your stay! These locations and activities will give visitors the awesome mixture of the natural wonders of the city and the feeling of being part of the Old West, so get your cowboy hat in gear and check out these amazing sights in the Alamo City!

While in the city, make sure you put the Natural Bridge Caverns on your itinerary for the incredible beauty of these deep underground caves! In 1960, four college students stumbled across these caverns while hiking in the country, and since then, millions of people have come to see their majestic beauty. The caverns have been christened the Jewel in the Crown of Texas Attractions and have been designated a National Natural Landmark! Take this 75-minute tour that takes you about a quarter of a mile through the cave and 180 feet below ground to see some amazing sites.

During your trip, take a tour of the Enchanted Springs Ranch, an 86-acre working ranch complete with live animals, re-enactors, authentic western-style buildings, and a variety of activities for a full-day of Old West fun! Originally designed to be used in television and film, the ranch has since grown into the family attraction that it is today. Enjoy an assortment of activities from taking a tractor wagon ride through the Wild Animal Park for a chance to see local and exotic animals to taking a self-guided tour of the Old West Town and Texas History Exhibit, complete with actors and demonstrators such as the blacksmith, gunsmith, and undertaker. Learn about the necessary trades of a western town, and even try your hand a few of them! While at the ranch, if one of your party is a bit rowdy, you can send them to jail, where they’ll be forced to do a little entertaining of their own before getting released. After you’ve explored the ranch, be sure to go to the Texas Ranger Museum, which offers an authentic Texan feel! Inside the museum, visitors can explore hundreds of artifacts from Texas Rangers, including revolvers, automatic handguns, sawed off shotguns, badges, pictures, and more highlighting the lives and careers of Rangers. Then, head into the highlight of the museum, the Ranger Town, a recreation of the city of San Antonio at the turn of the century. This western town features a replica of Buckhorn Saloon, a working jail cell, a blacksmith shop, and a newspaper and telegraph office. With this Ranger Town, you can go back in time and experience old-fashioned Texan life!
