La Belle Amie Vineyard in Little River is calling any and all “Parrot Heads” down to South Carolina for the annual Summer Parrot Head Festival. This Saturday, July 28th, from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m., join the music, wine and food at this beautiful winery to mingle with other Buffett fans and enjoy great entertainment.
Admission is $8 per person, with free admittance for those under 18 and over 80. If you bring two canned or dry good items to donate to the area food banks, however, you can get $3 off your ticket price. Once you’re in, you can enjoy all of the live music, wine tasting and outdoor cooking the venue is sponsoring.
Two bands with the Jimmy Buffett sound will be playing from noon to 5, The Necessary Band and The Caribbean Cowboys. The Necessary Band mixes the passion of days gone by and the upbeat attitude of modern bands for a truly unique sound. The Caribbean Cowboys have been playing for more than twenty years and perform a variety of music in a respectable and entertaining sound.
Enjoy a delicious wine tasting from La Belle Amie Vineyard while you’re there. The winery offers a wide variety of flavors, both white and red. There is also a gift shop located onsite that you are free to explore and pick up samples and souvenirs. Besides the wine tasting, you can also enjoy the beautiful, shaded grounds throughout the vineyard. You can take a leisurely stroll throughout the grounds, past the old tobacco barn and the duck pond.
There are also picnic areas available for you to enjoy the food at. Smokin’ Pitt BBQ and Hunts Lexington Style Cooking will both be in attendance, preparing food for your enjoyment.
Bring a lawn chair and sit out in the shade as great music in the Jimmy Buffett style is played and while you enjoy the great wine and great cooking.
There are a couple of hotels near the vineyard as well, so you can stay close by. The Quality Inn & Suites North Myrtle Beach and Sleep Inn at Harbour View are just 0.1 miles down the road, while the Comfort Inn and Hampton Inn North Myrtle Beach-Harbourgate are both within a half-mile.
