Become a Spy for a Day in Washington DC

Your childhood dreams – or, hey, maybe even your dreams now – can finally come true. Become a spy for the day as you travel through “Spy City,” then explore the Spy Museum. This two and a half hour tour will take you to some of the most active sights in the past 65 years of espionage history. DC is filled with secrets, and you can start to solve some with this unique and entertaining tour.

Become a recruit in Spy School 101. Your experienced training officer will brief you on your mission, giving you information to successes, failures and mysteries of the spy world. Then, you’ll go undercover into the fascinating and action-packed world of espionage, all in the spy capital of the world.

At the Spy Museum, you can explore the different exhibits that give you a little more insight into the world of secret intelligence. The Covers and Legends exhibit will challenge you: you’ll adopt a brand new identity, which you will have to immerse yourself into so you don’t blow your cover… or else you’ll face the consequences. At School for Spies, you can discover some of the cool gadgets you see the spies in movies using, including invisible ink, buttonhole cameras, bugs, disguise techniques and more. There is over 50 years of spy technology in the gallery. Also, at The Secret History of History exhibit, you can travel back in time to the first days of the second oldest profession, and discover little known facts about specific cases, like the Berlin Wall.

There are a variety of other activities inside the Spy Museum that will allow you to take your dream another step forward. Take part in a special, after-hours event that will immerse you further into the world of espionage, and allow you to enjoy a full bar; or, kids’ activities are also available for family enjoyment.

When fulfilling your dreams of becoming a spy, stay within easy access to the tour and museum. The Omni Shoreham Hotel is less than a half a mile away and boasts an onsite restaurant, a bar, and an outdoor pool and hot tub. Or, the Best Western Georgetown Hotel & Suites is a mile down the road and will welcome you with open arms with their continental breakfast, free wi-fi and comfortable amenities.
