Thursday, July 26th, American Idol finalist Adam Lambert heads to San Antonio for a concert event at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. With park admission, you can gain access into the concert for no additional cost. Spend the day on the high-speed rides, enjoying the entertaining shows and dining on a delicious array of park food, then head over to the event at 6 p.m. The concert is presented by Coca-Cola®.
Adam Lambert came in second place on the popular television show American Idol in 2009. His rock and roll sound won over the hearts of many audience members throughout the season. His renditions of songs like “Crazy,” “Rock With you,” “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” won over the hearts of the judges.
Since then, his debut studio album, For Your Entertainment, hit number three on the Billboard 200, his second single, “Whataya Want from Me,” reached number ten on the Billboard Hot 100 and he has been nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. Lambert has released a second album, Trespassing, and has appeared on various television programs since American Idol.
Before you head over to the concert event to see Lambert in person, spend some time on the fast-paced thrill rides the park is known for. The new ride, SkyScreamer, is a towering swing ride that lifts you over 20 stories and spins you at speeds reaching 40 miles per hour. The Twister spins you upside down, over and over and over and over again, while Scream will shoot you up 20 stories up, then drop you down, then repeat again and again.
There is also a selection of family and kids’ rides, for those traveling with a weaker stomach or with smaller children. Water rides like Bugs’ White Water Rapids and The Gully Washer are always park favorites, while the classic Ferris Wheel and carousel rides can’t be missed out on, either.
Plan to stay nearby the park and the concert, and book a room at Rodeway Inn at Six Flags, Best Western Fiesta Inn or the Comfort Inn Fiesta Park Area. All three will give you an affordable, convenient and comfortable stay.
