Musical Entertainment at Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach is a vacation destination that boasts both a beautiful landscape and thrilling activities. While you’re there, be sure to check out some of the excellent musical shows that have been taking the city by storm!

Legends in Concert Myrtle Beach

Have you ever wanted to see legends like Whitney Houston or Frank Sinatra on the big stage? What about in the same show? With the Legends in Concert Myrtle Beach show, your favorite musicians of the past return to the stage along with some of today’s most popular stars. Legends in Concert features professional impersonators that look, act and sing like your favorite artists. Hear Michael Jackson perform “Billie Jean,” as he does his signature moon walk, or snap your fingers to Garth Brooks’ down-home twang. The lineup of stars changes, but in the past has included the Blues Brothers, Elvis, Celine Dion, Roy Orbison and Barry White, just to name a few. The show is a huge production with lighting, special effects and period costumes.

Good Vibrations! at The Carolina Opry

Voted “Best Show” by the readers of the Myrtle Beach Sun News, this colorful stage production provides a unique musical experience. Featuring music from the 60s, 70s and 80s and period costumes, the upbeat show is great for families. The cast of 36 comedians, musicians and dancers is ready to take you back to the hits of the past with a hip and modern flair!

The Carolina Opry

If you prefer music of a different genre, try The Carolina Opry’s regular performances. In true Opry style, this show features live country music, fast and fun dance numbers and the type of good ole’ entertainment that you can tap your toes to.

At the end of the day, rest assured that your lodging of choice meets your vacationing needs. If you’d like to stay close to the Legends in Concert location, try the Fairfield Inn Broadway or the Hampton Inn Myrtle Beach-Broadway at the Beach, both of which are within walking distance. Within 5 miles of the Carolina Opry, the Sheraton Myrtle Beach and Rodeway Inn Surfside Beach are both excellent alternatives.

  1. Visiting Myrtle Beach for a family reunion a few years ago was one of my favorite vacation memories. I love the area, and I would definitely go see any of these shows. Any excuse to get back down there!
