IllumiNights at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Head to Busch Gardens Williamsburg this summer during their IllumiNights celebrations and pack your vacation full of action, adventure and stunning performances. IllumniNights started on July 1 and will be running until the 19th of August, so there’s still plenty of time to get in on all of the excitement. Every night, there are special shows taking place throughout the park, in their different country-themed areas. At the end of the night, head over to the brilliant display of fireworks for the perfect way to end your visit.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is the “World’s Most Beautiful Theme Park” and has been for 22 years. The park is separated into different countries, such as Ireland, France and Germany, and features special attractions in each of the different points of the park. You can travel the world, all without leaving the theme park. Enjoy the variety of food and entertainment, especially the fast-paced thrill rides. When you visit Busch Gardens during the IllumiNights event, you can spend the day on the coasters and rides and trying out the different flavors of food; then, settle in for the four special shows that celebrate the different cultures.

In the Oktoberfest Plaza, you can join a cast filled with talented performers and animals at the new “Wunderbarn” show. Henrik and Helga are the owners of the Black Forest Farms and the host of all the German festivities going on in the area. “Wunderbarn” is an exceptional performance filled with comedy, colors and pure craziness. Of course, the show ends with the park favorite, The Chicken Dance.

You’ll be awestruck at “Voila!” in the French village. This area of the park will be transformed into an energetic festival, complete with lively waiters and artistic dancers. Chairs will stack on top of each other high into the Parisian sky while acrobats flip and soar through the air. “Voila!” is a street-side celebration that you will not want to miss.

For more draw-dropping acrobatic stunts, head over to Italy and stroll through the lush landscapes of Da Vinci’s Gardens of Inventions. The gardens will light up with beautiful, glowing butterflies and more acrobats will amaze audience members as they perform stunning feats. All of this and more await you at “Giardino Magico.”

The land of Ireland comes to life in “The Legend of Killarney.” Leprechauns, lost fortune and fairy princesses appear before your eyes in a mythic and entertaining story. You won’t be able to miss the excitement, as skilled performers surround you – even on the rooftops, where puppets reaching heights of 20 feet tall are often sighted.

At the end of a busy and exhilarating day, settle in for a firework spectacular that will blow your mind. The night sky will erupt into dozens of brilliant and vivid colors. For a day you will never forget, head to Busch Gardens Williamsburg for this incredible event.

Never travel far for great entertainment. Stay at the Quality Inn At Kingsmill or the Courtyard Williamsburg and be less than a mile and a half from all of the excitement. Enjoy such amenities as an indoor pool, an in-room Jacuzzi tub and a continental breakfast, all for an affordable price at the Quality Inn, or stay at the Courtyard Williamsburg for more spacious rooms, in-room microwaves and refrigerators and a soothing hot tub. Make the most out of your vacation in Williamsburg this year with both of these and more hotels in the area.
