Williamsburg Events Kick Off the Fall Season!

Labor Day Weekend is upon us as the fall season is moving in and summer is bidding goodbye for the year. Celebrate the three days off work with some of these Williamsburg events that are sure to make for an extraordinary holiday with your family. From concerts to bargain shopping, this is a great opportunity to visit the city and get the most for your money. Check out the different events below and pepper in these activities when planning your Williamsburg getaway. Best of all, most of them are free!

Busch Gardens Live Concert Series

Once a month during the course of this past summer, Busch Gardens has hosted a concert in the park’s Royal Palace Theater and September 3-4 will be the finale of this live music series. For the special event, Neil Sedaka will be performing his hit songs that have influenced the music industry such as The Lion Sleeps Tonight and Ring-a-Rockin. Sedaka’s career has lasted nearly 55 years and he’s been inducted into 3 different Hall of Fames. Concert is free with admission to the park.

Labor Day Weekend Prelude to Victory

There’s no better place to watch a reenactment then in the city of Williamsburg which goes to amazing lengths to make history come alive, proven through attractions such as the Jamestown Settlement and Colonial Williamsburg. This event will follow suit with a recreation of George Washington’s siege ofYorktown. Musket drills, field maneuvers, and various activities will take place September 5-7 as this will be an educational and fun experience for the whole family, especially if there are some history buffs in the bunch.

Labor Day Sidewalk Sale at Prime Outlets

If you need to do some back to school shopping for the kids or treat yourself to a new wardrobe, then head to Williamsburg this weekend for the sidewalk sale taking place at Prime Outlets.   1. What a clever way to get the kids back in the swing of learning that a visit to attractions such as the Jamestown Settlement and Colonial Williamsburg. Hands-on activities and all the period-costumed actors would peak the intrest of any child.
