Celebrate July 4th in the Historical City of Williamsburg!

In the eve of our country’s celebration of American Independence, spend the weekend in the historically rich location of Williamsburg, VA. There is something for the whole family to commemorate this holiday including American Revolution reenactments, 18th century game demonstrations, and of course some of the best amusement parks. Don’t forget to book your Fourth of July Weekend activities to these attractions:

Jamestown Settlement

There is no place better to pay homage to the founders of America than at the Jamestown Settlement. In honor of the 235th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Liberty Celebration at the Yorktown Victory Center will commence July 2-4. From 9:00 am- 6:00 pm, visitors will have the opportunity to interact with Revolutionary War actors, observe artillery drills, watch military exercises, and even get a piece of real American apple pie.

Busch Gardens & Water Country USA

Take advantage of the savings available when purchasing passes to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. The Summer Bounce pass will grant you access to both these parks as well as Colonial Williamsburg. Don’t settle with one when you have the opportunity to ride world-class roller coasters, shoot down sky-high water slides, and experience American history come to life; all for one low price.

Colonial Williamsburg

This year, Colonial Williamsburg is planning a memorable occasion for America’s birthday on July 4th. Costumed Revolutionary War heroes will read through the entire Declaration of Independence on the courthouse steps. Following a chorus of fifes, drums, and joyous shouts, fireworks will light the sky, wishing America the happiest of birthdays.

  1. I can not think of another place then Williamsburg to spend the 4th of July. At the location of the Jamestown Settlement, how cool.

  2. What a great way to spend the 4th of July. If you have children this is a perfect history lesson and a good way to combine fun and learning.

  3. Colonial Williamsburg would be a great place to see any time of the year…however,to experience the Fourth of July there would be a true
    bucket list occasion!

  4. I think it would be neat to take a trip back in time to the colonial days, the 4th would have been a blast!!

  5. Definatly something to see, you can reanact old history and it would be even fun to see the clothing attire of the old days. You also get to learn some more history but in a fun and exciting way
