Start Your Christmas Celebration with the Rockefeller Tree Lighting Ceremony

Some years, it’s hard to get into the appropriate frame of mind for the holiday season. If you need an extra boost to get you excited for the holidays, head to New York City for the annual Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event takes place November 30th, and the tree will be lit up until January 7th afterward. The huge tree is a huge part of the Christmas season for people from all over the world. Each year, a Norway Spruce tree is decorated with 30,000 lights and the gorgeous Swarovski crystal star. This year, you can join the others at the Rockefeller Center and watch this tree light up for the first time. What a perfect way to start the season!

  1. That tree lighting ceremony sounds awesome!!! I’d love to go to that…it reminds me of the enormous tree in Silver Dollar City!

  2. I think it would be such a fabulous vacation to spend Christmas in New York City. All the lights, possible snow and most definitly the tree lighting at Rockefeller Center. Better start saving up my money now.
