Butterfly Palace Continues to Offer White Flight Exhibit into the New Year

A new holiday tradition has begun in the Ozarks, and that tradition is White Flight. Not the demographic trend, but a natural wonder housed at the Butterfly Palace and Rainforest Adventures. And those that didn’t have the chance to experience this unique, new exhibit during the holidays will still have a chance as White Flight is scheduled to run until January 15.

The Butterfly Palace is always a unique interaction with nature, but during White Flight it becomes a magical romp through living snowflakes. Thousands of white butterflies and hundreds of poinsettias combine with twinkling light displays for a touching ode to the holidays that truly has to be experienced to be fully understood. Just imagine strolling through a peaceful, indoor garden accented by hues of red and warm lights as thousands of white butterflies flutter in every direction, giving the illusion of light snow skipping through the air.

Aside from the new White Flight exhibit, the Butterfly Palace and Rainforest Adventures will still offer its many, typical attractions throughout the new year, including The Amazing Emerald Forest mirror maze, Insect Zoo and gift shop to ensure a full experience of fun.

The Butterfly Palace and Rainforest Adventures can offer a unique look at nature year-round, but those hoping to be a part of the new tradition that is White Flight will need to hurry and visit before January 15. So whether visiting for a day or hoping to take a complete vacation, start planning today!

Trolley Ride of Lights Continues to Light Up Gatlinburg, TN

The holiday season may be coming to a close, but Gatlinburg visitors will still be able to find an enchanting time of winter wonder throughout January with the Trolley Ride of Lights. Having ran since November 7, and continuing until January 26, the Trolley Ride of Lights provides Gatlinburg visitors with a magical trolley ride through Gatlinburg’s Winterfest lighting display.

While the heart-warming display will still be offered to the public, the tours will only run on Saturdays throughout January.

However, Gatlinburg offers more than enough entertainment to make for a complete, active vacation when visiting to experience its always popular Trail of Lights.

Continuing with a theme of wonder, WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge, TN can offer visitors an entertaining and educational stroll through a variety of strange, natural and technological exhibits all geared towards interaction. From experiencing a simulated 5.3 magnitude earthquake at the Quake Cafe to lying upon a bed of 3,497 real nails, there are a variety of experiences that you’ll hopefully have never taken part in before awaiting to be introduced to you at WonderWorks in a safe and fascinating manner.

And those looking for a comprehensive view of Gatlinburg won’t find a better way to go about exploring the land than through a Helicopter Tour of the Smokies. From soaring over downtown Gatlinburg to flying alongside the majestic Smoky Mountains, with Helicopter Tours of the Smokies you’ll find an exciting, bird’s eye view of Tennessee awaiting!

The holidays may be technically over, but Gatlinburg is still featuring winter charm with its Trolley Ride of Lights, and it’s always a good time to give yourself and your family the gift of vacation.

Sound & Speed Set To Invade Nashville, TN

Once again the Sound & Speed celebration will be bringing an all-star line-up of country’s top performing artists and some of NASCAR’s most revered names for a festival like only Nashville could host. This year’s Sound & Speed will take place January 11 – 12, and is set to hold a variety of events that will place you closer than ever to your favorite drivers and recording artists

In particular, Saturday’s procession is sure to be an action-packed time with events including the Backstage Garage Pass and evening concert. The Backstage Garage Pass will offer fans a time for autographs and questions with drivers including Richard Petty, Darrell Waltrip, Kyle Petty, Ryan Newman and more. Throughout the day-long event fans will also be able to take part in a fan auction, browse showcars, and more for a complete and intimate look into NASCAR.

That same night, Sound & Speed will be hosting a country concert with acts set to include Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, Josh Turner, Danielle Peck, Ray Stevens and others.

Whether interested in only one half of the Sound & Speed festivities or hoping to take in all of the action over the course of the weekend, Sound & Speed is sure to electrify the already lively setting of Nashville for a memorable outing in the Country Music Capital of the World.

Every month Disney World features what is called Extra Magic Hours to offer guests the chance to make the most out of their visit to the magical theme park. Date Announced For the 2008 CMT Music Awards

It has been officially announced that the 2008 CMT Music Awards will be taking place at Nashville’s Curb Event Center at Belmont University on Monday, April 14. The CMT Music Awards is scheduled to premier live on Country Music Television (CMT) for an exciting atmosphere that will pay tribute to some of Nashville’s biggest stars. Additionally, the CMT Music Awards is the only fan-voted awards show in country music, presenting an authentic voice of the people.

Last year’s CMT Music Awards offered a star-packed show featuring performances by Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley, and hosted by legendary comedian Jeff Foxworthy. And while the 2008 line-up has yet to be announced, it’s sure to follow the legacy of past ceremonies.

Of course, the CMT Music Awards isn’t your only chance to witness some of country music’s biggest stars coming together. In fact, every week Nashville is blessed with just such an event in the Grand Ole Opry. Offering a lively show that is just as likely to feature legendary acts such as Porter Wagoner and George Jones as it is to highlight today’s hottest stars, including Dierks Bentley and Alison Krauss, the Grand Ole Opry is a hot ticket in Nashville throughout the year.
