Balloons Over Branson Creek brings hot air balloonists from around the Midwest to the Branson area for a weekend of aerial sports and fun. There will be a balloon competition, poered parachutes, skydivers, and a balloon glow at dusk on Saturday. There are plenty of activities on the ground for spectators to enjoy too: hay rides, food and crafting booths, and a dog walk to benefit the Shepherd of the Hills Humane Society. Balloons Over Branson Creek will take place Oct 19-21 at The Communities, near Hollister.
National Harvest Festival at Silver Dollar City
The National Harvest Festival is a perfect time to visit Silver Dollar City. There are over 125 visiting crafters, plus crafting demonstrations and a special culinary school. This year’s festival is more action-packed than ever with the Salute to the American Cowboy. There’s a wild west style Stunt Show, where daring cowboys show off trick horses, bull whip, quick rope, and gun spinning. See wild mustangs and listen to some cowboy poetry.
